The Fire Industry Association (FIA) has published the second Market Conditions Review for 2015.
Now on its fifth edition the report takes a snapshot of the fire protection industry every six months.
The survey, which quizzes both FIA member and non-FIA member companies across the UK on their commercial fortunes, revealed the following trends:
A rise in orders compared to the preceding six months with the private sector driving growth
60% of companies have enjoyed an increase in the volume of enquires from prospective customers
Tender invitations have risen with 48% of companies either receiving ‘a lot more’ or ‘slightly more’ invitations in the past six months. There has also been a slight increase in tenders requiring Third Party Certification
“The growth in the UK construction market appears to be sustainable and the data we have compiled clearly indicates that,” said FIA CEO Ian Moore.
“Also various overseas markets are back leading to increases in export sales for our members. As to be expected with sustained growth, recruitment of skilled staff and further training of existing staff has also seen an increase. This is good news all round.”
The FIA’s Market Condition Review can be downloaded for free from the FIA website.
