Chubb bags fire and security contract for Screwfix

Chubb has been awarded a contract by Screwfix, a direct and online tool and hardware supplier, to service and maintain fire systems and equipment at more than 170 outlets in the UK.

The contract is in addition to the turnkey security solutions already provided by Chubb.

As part of a two-year contract, Chubb will service and maintain fire alarm systems and extinguishers, as well as continue to design, install and maintain IP-based remotely monitored CCTV technology in Screwfix retail outlets.

Steve Betts, account director for Chubb, said: “We have worked in partnership with Screwfix in keeping their property, their people and their assets safe from harm.”

He said the company was keen to have both fire and security services sourced from a single supplier:

“Whereas before we worked in isolation, today we can look at a company’s total fire and security needs, and provide them with a complete solution. From fire extinguishers and detection systems to intruder alarms and CCTV, we now have all of the expertise under one roof, with the quality and reliability of service that have become the hallmark of our business.”
