Chubb Fire & Security Named Top Superbrand for Fire and Security Protection

Chubb Fire & Security has been named the top Business Superbrand in the Security, Safety & Fire Protection category.

The venerable brand – it was born in 1818 to sell the patented Chubb detector lock – beat Aegis, ADT, First Security, G4S, Kidde, Lumis, Securitas and SmartWater to the accolade.

Chubb, which is part of UTC Climate, Controls & Security, a unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX), also made the top 100 of all brands.

Norton triumphed in the information security category of the annual Superbrand survey, which is compiled by The Centre for Brand Analysis, an independent expert council and 2,500 business professionals. McAfee Kaspersky Lab, Sophos, Symantec, Trend Micro, Yale also made the list of information security Superbrands.

“Despite being over 150 years old, the Chubb brand continues to lead the way in the security and fire protection industry, heading its category once again in the annual UK Business Superbrands ranking,” said Stephen Cheliotis, chairman of the Superbrands Council and CEO of The Centre for Brand Analysis.

“Affirming the power of its highly recognised, respected and trusted brand, the reputational advantage of this result undoubtedly provides the business with a significant commercial benefit and ensures it remains the first name a business will turn to for protection.”

Said Andy Johnston, head of marketing and communications for Chubb Fire & Security Ltd: “Recognition as a Business Superbrand is a great testimony to the continued commitment and dedication of our employees throughout the UK.

“We continually review our brand to ensure it remains current, relevant and positively impacts existing and potential clients.”
