Chubb Fire has been chosen to service fire alarms at West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service’s headquarters, as well as 37 stations in the area.

It is an extension of a contract already standing between the fire service and Chubb, which has been servicing and supplying fire extinguishers to West Yorkshire firefighters for the past six years.

As part of the deal, Chubb Fire will inspect fire detection systems quarterly, including alarms at the 999 response centre, urban search and rescue centre and the international training centre.

The systems will be serviced in accordance with BS 5839-1:2002 and Chubb Fire’s servicing manual, including checking control panel batteries and activating smoke, heat detectors and manual call points.
