The training room includes a two-loop MxPro 4 panel from Advanced and a graphics package through which staff can explore various scenarios in a controlled and isolated environment.
Doing so on the main system is obviously difficult in an environment that operates 24-7 and welcomes more than 3.6 million passengers annually.
“With Advanced panels already installed in London City Airport the addition of the training room and the MxPro 4 panel for training purposes allows staff at the airport to be trained in the latest aspects of fire safety,” said Robin Kemp, Advanced’s sales manager for the south-east region.
“In a 24-hour facility, it’s hard to do training using the main system, so this means that all types of incident can be mocked up without inconveniencing passengers.”
A multiprotocol fire solution MxPro comes in two panel ranges with four detector protocols and a completely open installer network with free training and support.
MxPro panels can be used in single loop, single panel format or multi-loop, high speed, 200 panel networks covering wide areas and thousands of field devices.
The MxPro 5, which is EN54 2, 4 & 13 approved and backward-compatible with MxPro 4, is Advanced’s highest performance analogue panel.
