Engineers of Tomorrow apprentices reflect on their triumph at the Security & Fire Excellence Awards 2016

Watch interviews with the fire and security apprentices who claimed the top three prizes in the Engineers of Tomorrow 2016 competition.

Filmed at the Security & Fire Excellence Awards 2016, the videos – including a highlights video followed by four individual interviews – are available to watch below.

The awards ceremony was the culmination of a process which began at IFSEC International 2016 in June, where more than 50 young engineers competed in a 90-minute installation challenge. Participants had to assess an installed intruder alarm system, identifying faults, re-commissioning the system and applying any security and safety measures as needed. All overall heat winners and their employers were invited to the Security & Fire Excellence Awards.

The Security & Fire Excellence Awards 2016, which was once again compered by TV funnyman Jimmy Carr, took place at London Hilton on Park Lane.
