In setting up the seminar the organisers hope to help prevent a repeat of the tragic Rosepark Care Home fire in 2004 in which 14 people lost their lives.
The fatal incident inquiry concluded that “the deficiencies in the management of fire safety at Rosepark contributed to the deaths in that a number of key circumstances would have been quite different if there had been an adequate system of fire safety management” .
