When: 3-5 September 2014
Where: Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, Malaysia

IFSEC Southeast Asia is part of the world’s leading portfolio of security and fire safety events and established as the region’s primary destination to source expertise and guidance.

Launched to huge success in 2013, the event will once again provide the meeting point for the ASEAN security, fire and safety community at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, Malaysia from September 3-5, 2014.

IFSEC Southeast Asia directly reflect the needs and developments within the region, as the ASEAN Region GDP is growing at 6 -7 per cent annually and the Malay Government allocated $150million to Safe Cities programme.

Urban crime reduction has also been targeted under Government performance indicators to reduce by 50 per cent by 2015.

As the region continues to develop, this presents an opportunity for the UK fire protection industry as it leads by example. In 2014 the FIREX Pavilion, supported by the Fire Industry Association (FIA), will be present for the first time on the show floor.

Exhibitors within the pavilion are members of the FIA Export council, this comprises a range of organisations from smaller companies looking to expand their export interests through to world-leading companies having considerable export experience.

Recognised globally for its quality products and engineering expertise across the active, passive and fire-fighting sectors, the total UK market is in excess of £3bn per annum and with annual exports estimated at around £600m to countries all over the world.

The FIA has identified the importance to support the growing nature of UK export and is proud to support this most recent addition to IFSEC Southeast Asia.

FIA Export Council Chair Tracy Kirk said: “Southeast Asia has been identified by our members as a priority market for export.

“The IFSEC global events and participation within the FIREX Pavilions present a fantastic opportunity to put UK Fire plc on the map in these regions and for our members to realise their export ambitions.”
