Honeywell Security Group names David Paja as President

Honeywell has announced the appointment of David Paja as its new president.

Paja takes the reins from Rothman, who is retiring from Honeywell to spend more time with family, according to a statement released by the company.

The 45-year old, who joined Honeywell in 2003 and latterly has been vice president and general manager for Honeywell Transportation Systems in China and India, will lead Honeywell’s $3bn global security business, which includes a broad portfolio of security products and technologies, as well as ADI, the company’s distribution arm.

Paja will be based in Melville, New York and report to Alex Ismail, president and CEO of Honeywell Automation and Control Solutions.

“David is an accomplished leader, who will build on Honeywell Security Group’s strong industry position at the forefront of technology for the connected home and the connected building,” says Ismail.

“David has broad experience in understanding the needs of customers and has a proven track record of driving new product introductions and innovation that result in expanded growth for the company.”

Ismail also thanked Ron Rothman for his leadership and contribution to the group and to the industry.

Rothman has served as president of Honeywell Security Group since January 2010 and will remain with the company until June to assist with the transition.
