In his new role as editor of IFSEC Global India Ankush Kumar spoke to Albert Anto Christudasen, senior regional sales manager for Genetec in the South Asia region, about last week’s IFSEC India show.
IFSEC Global India: How was your experience at IFSEC India 2014?
Albert Anto Christudasen: It has been a great experience as we saw a lot of turnaround. We have interacted with lot of people walking in with different expertise – system integrators, end users, consultants and distributers.
IGI: How do you see India as a market for security and surveillance products?
AAC: India has huge potential and with the smart city culture still evolving there are lots of opportunities for everyone to grow. In terms of solutions, we as Genetec have done a lot of global installations in smart cities and we took that experience to India and shared the best practice in the safety and security space.
IGI: Any specific challenge that you face in Indian security market?
AAC: The market has got its own level of maturity but we have to take it forward. We are still trying to educate the market in terms of having a good network security solution and a unified solution.
