Using the Wiegand communications protocol the MINI-M reader is compatible with a variety of access control systems.
Aesthetics: Both readers have a low profile design and are finished in a matt black ABS plastic.
Sectors/verticals: Access control within individual homes, commercial premises, schools, hospitals, residential housing and student accommodation blocks.
Manufacturer says: “Many buildings simply need access control to a single main entrance,” says Neil Thomas, Videx national sales manager. “However, currently available systems often have multiple door capability and complicated programming options using a PC.” The MINI-SA2 has all functions contained within a reader therefore no external controller is required, just a suitable power supply.
“Overall, both products offer a cost effective and easy to install and operate solution for any building where access needs to be restricted to known people who are in possession of a proximity card or key fob. Their simple design and low cost, as well as the ongoing technical support from Videx when purchased, provides great appeal to installers, consultants and end users alike.”
About the manufacturer: Nearly 30 years in the business Videx has been manufacturing door-entry and access-control solutions since 1985.
Videx, whose clients come from a wide range of sectors in both public and private arenas, says it draws great pride from its research and development, after-sales service and technical support functions.
The London and Newcastle-based company is also a Secure by Design Door Entry & Access Control Member Company with a plethora of products tested to STS202 B R2 Level of Burglary Resistance.
