David Thorp, Managing Director, Security Institute
An advanced Level 7 diploma in security management has been introduced by the Security Institute and its learning development partner Perpetuity Training.
Equivalent to a master’s degree-level the course is designed to add highly sought after skills to a security professional’s repertoire and give them a competitive edge. The nine-month course will be delivered via distance learning.
“Perpetuity Training has been our training partner since 2007 and over the last eight years has excelled in providing training to large numbers of Security professionals which has resulted in their achieving a BTEC Level 3 Certificate and/or BTEC Level 5 Diploma in Security Management,” said David Thorp, managing director of the Security Institute.
“I am confident that this new Level 7 Advanced Diploma will prove to be hugely popular as it takes the Security Institute’s qualifications to the next level and meets a definite demand within the higher levels of the security profession.”
Ken Livingstone, Managing Director, Perpetuity Training
Students will complete three assignments during the course, with the final one a security management topic of the learners’ choice in which they will have to create a body of work around their employers’ security needs.
“We appreciate that security professionals have to carefully plan how they spend their time, which is why we are offering the Level 7 Advanced Diploma in Security Management as a distance learning course,” said Ken Livingstone, managing director of Perpetuity Training, which is part of the Linx International Group.
“As such, it offers learners the advantage of being able to study from anywhere in the world and acquire a significant career enhancing qualification.”
