Are you active in the southeast Asia region? Are you interested in  wireless solutions and support services for outdoor wireless CCTV and wireless data networks?

Then you may wish to know that Wavesight Ltd is exhibiting at IFSEC Southeast Asia, which has one day left to run at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.

David Saldanha, managing director of the Bedfordshire-based company, spoke to IFSEC Global about his expectations for the show.

IFSEC Global: Why is it important for you to attend IFSEC Southeast Asia?

David Saldanha: To showcase our products and technology with a view to form partnerships with System Integrators and Consultants in the Region.

IG: What are your main goals for the 2014 show?

DS: To establish partnerships with interested System Integrators and Consultants in the Region

IG: In previous years IP, hybrid David Saldanha Managing Director Wavesight Limitedsolutions, the emergence of networks or video analytics have been dominant show themes. Is there a key theme you think might characterise the 2014 event in this region?

DS: The migration of technology from analogue to IP and the convergence of independent solutions into integrated platforms

IG: Can you briefly outline the solutions and products that will be showcased on your stand in September?

DS: Wavesight based in the United Kingdom are specialist manufacturers and providers of wireless and hybrid solutions for the CCTV Industry – including wireless network solutions and hybrid solar solutions where fiber networks and power is expensive or difficult to deploy.

IG: Are you targeting end users, installers/integrators or perhaps consultants this year, and what’s influencing your decision here?

DS: Mainly system integrators and consultants. While initial contacts is being solicited – credibility and reach will need to be ascertained over the coming months with the help of the UKTI.

IG: Are you targeting any particular vertical sector at present? If so, why? What opportunities do you see emerging?

DS: Home Land Security and the Large Infrastructure modernisation programs

IG: What do you think is the most exciting theme currently happening in Southeast Asia?

DS: Convergence of technologies and coming together of various OEMs and Partners

IG: In your opinion, what’s the biggest challenge the security industry currently faces?

DS: The lost options from China (as opposed to the perceived high cost from Europe)

IG: What’s your company doing to promote the Corporate Social Responsibility/’green’ agenda?

DS: Providing alternate hybrid solutions using solar and wind technology to provide power in places where power is expensive and /or difficult to deploy

IG: Do you participate in IFSEC shows located in other regions? If so, how do you find it beneficial to be involved in multiple regions?

DS: Yes. The UK and India. Consistent participation via the UK Pavilion is an opportunity to present the best of British technology across the  regions we participate in.
