Xtreme Industrial Fire & Hazard Training School to Cross the Atlantic for the First Time

Williams Fire & Hazard Control – a Tyco Fire Protection products brand – is bringing its Xtreme Industrial Fire & Hazard Training School to Europe for the first time.

A European edition of the weekly event, which takes place annually in Beaumont, Texas, will be held in the north of Paris from 27 September to 1 October 2015.

Through classroom lectures and field exercises Williams Xtreme Industrial Fire & Hazard Training School provides training in how to respond safely and effectively to fire emergencies.

Innovative methodologies, tactics and fire protection equipment for applications in the petrochemical and oil & gas industries will be showcased.

Sessions at the Joint Oil Industry Fire Forum (JOIFF)-accredited workshop focus on diverse incident profiles and fire dynamics, foam and dry chemical application, response logistics and field operations, case studies and large-volume equipment applications.

Students play an active role in live demonstrations, which are held in a 200m2 area consisting of pressure-fed fires, hydrocarbon pressure fuel fires, fuels-in-depth and boil-over demonstration.

Teams learn a range of fire-fighting techniques including foam applications, dry chemicals and attack lines.

Williams Fire & Hazard Control has 34 years’ experience of tackling blazes in arguably the most challenging of environments when it comes to fire, the oil and gas industry.

“We are looking forward to introducing our famous Williams Industrial Fire & Hazard Training School in Europe,” says Thierry Moinet, sales director, Foam & Foam Hardware EMEA, Tyco Fire Protection Products.

“It provides a great opportunity to engage with our customers in EMEA and for them to learn more about fire response tactics and equipment through real-life scenarios. Our workshop is extremely well received in the USA, and we hope to achieve the same success in Europe.”

Participants who successfully complete the course will be awarded a JOIFF certificate of competence and a Williams Fire & Hazard Control certificate of achievement.

You can pre-register for the course or find out more here.
