Abloy UK relaunches doors and electronic locking course

Abloy UK has reintroduced its Abloy Foundations Plus course, which covers performance standards, dynamic lockdown and the impact of the Construction Products Regulation.

The course covers most standards applicable to doorsets – from hinges to door selectors – and helps delegates to understand the requirements of a door, from its location within the building to the purpose the door must fulfil. It also takes in the locking and escape requirements for access control electric locking in both retrofit and new build applications, helping to ensure a safe and secure solution.

Delegates must have successfully completed the Foundations course before going on to enrol on Foundations Plus.

“The course utilises the theory and knowledge gained from the Foundations course to ensure the correct specification of compliant electric locking solutions for access control doors,” said Pat Jefferies, Commercial Director at Abloy UK. “It provides an excellent link from the Foundations course to Abloy’s more advanced training modules, such as electric locking.

“Foundations and Foundations Plus can both be used to gain valuable CPD points, so we encourage anyone involved in the specification of doors and access control solutions – whether you’re an installer, security manager, lock centre, end-user or specifier – to get involved.”

Abloy Foundations Plus courses in 2018 will be held on Friday 25 May, Friday 27 July and Friday 19 October.

Abloy UK is exhibiting at IFSEC International, 19-21 June 2018, ExCeL London. You can find them on stand H328. Register now.
