IFSEC TV 2018

WATCH: Atul Rajput of Axis Communications on smart cities and digital network audio systems

Atul Rajput, regional director for northern Europe at Axis Communications, tells IFSEC TV about the video surveillance specialist’s vision for a “smarter, safer world” during IFSEC 2018.

Positioning Axis beyond merely a security manufacturer he says the Sweden-headquartered company is now developing products to enhance the lives of people living and working in cities. This is increasingly important given burgeoning urban populations and worsening traffic congestion and air pollution.

To that end – a goal encapsulated in the term ‘smart cities’ – there was a big focus on smart traffic analytics, which optimises traffic flows through automatic, real-time incident detection. Sustainability is a big focus too and the company is even making inroads into audio hardware for public address systems and retail sound systems.
