Axis Communications has developed two high-end network cameras with 32x zoom and OptimizedIR for indoor and outdoor use.
The video surveillance giant says it developed the AXIS Q1785-LE and AXIS Q1786-LE to meet growing demand for cameras with high zoom levels in order to identify faces, detect licence plates or respond to incidents.
The camera can be placed more than 260 metres away and still clearly show details invisible to the naked eye, such as car registration plates – making them ideal for, say, monitoring a roundabout where mounting is impossible.
Sectors/verticals
Motorways/highways or intersections and general city surveillance. Corridor format captures vertical scenes, such as long streets or perimeters – a more detailed scene than achievable with a panoramic shot. Cameras can also be paired with accessories for pole or dual mount installation.
AXIS Q17 Series features
4 MP resolution, Quad HD 1440p at 50/60 fps for AXIS Q1786-LE and 2 MP, HDTV 1080p, 50/60 fps for AXIS Q1785-LE
OptimizedIR up to 80 metres (262 feet)
Electronic image stabilisation, shock detection, scene profiles and defogging
IP66, IP67 and NEMA 4X-ratings and IK10-rated casing
Impact-resistant aluminum casing can withstand temperature range of -40 °C to +60 °C (-40 °F to +140 °F)
