WATCH: Fostering collaboration between the UK government and private security sector

The UK government has made efforts in recent years to harness the private security sector – both in terms of technology and expertise – to bolster public safety and national defence.

IFSEC 2019, Europe’s largest integrated security event, offered a platform for the security industry to network with the bodies that emerged from this strategy.

IFSEC TV visited this feature – The Government Pavilion – to speak to key figures at the Defence and Security Accelerator (DASA) and the Joint Security and Resilience Centre (JSARC).

Its avowed vision: “to maintain its strategic advantage over its adversaries through the most innovative defence and security capabilities in the world.”

Its 50-strong team includes professionals from defence, security, the private sector and academia.
