Addressing more than 400 security professionals the evening’s host, recently retired Chief Constable of Derbyshire Police, Mick Creedon QPM, addressed the growing importance of public-private partnerships (also the theme of the forthcoming NSI Summit).
“This year saw a significant rise in the quality and number of entries received and all finalists should feel very proud,” said OSPAs founder Professor Martin Gill.
“The judging process is strict and robust: each judge marks independently against a set of criteria, and they commit to declaring any conflict of interest. Each entry must achieve a fixed score threshold to be come a finalist, ensuring consistent quality across the competition.
“Which means all our finalists – individuals, teams and companies represent outstanding performance of the highest level.”
Said Richard Jenkins, CEO of the NSI, which sponsored the Outstanding Security Installer category: “The UK OSPAs provide a vital role in showcasing and celebrating the outstanding achievements of those companies and individuals within the UK electronic security and guarding services sectors.
“Such events are valuable opportunities to recognise and reward success. NSI with its focus on raising standards across the UK security industry was proud to play its part by sponsoring one of the categories and it was pleasing to see so many NSI approved companies becoming finalists and winning their specialist award category.”
