Around 50 fire appliances were called to tackle a massive blaze at Miami Airport last week.
The fire, which broke out at approximately 11 pm on 24 March, started in a fuel tank on the east side of the airport.
It took crews around two hours to extinguish, according to Fox News.
Problems sparked when a fire spread through six fuel tanks on the southeast side of the airport, away from the runways. The tanks together hold eight million gallons of fuel feeding 14 underground pumps that send 2,000 gallons of fuel an hour to trucks near terminals to refuel airplanes, according to the Miami Herald. It is thought that there may have been a short circuit at one of the pumps.
The blaze caused many delays and cancellations and it may be a few months before operations continue as normal, a spokesman from the airport told the Miami Herald.
