The Fire Industry Association (FIA) has bolstered its technical team with the new appointment of technical manager Graham Simons.

Mr Simons joins the FIA to work alongside technical managers Robert Thilthorpe and Phil Martin and will deliver technical advice and support.
Previously, Mr Simons spent 12 years as regulatory manager at Honeywell Life Safety, where he provided expertise on the regulatory requirements of fire alarm control panels and power supplies, including the installation requirements of UK, French and German installations.
At Honeywell Mr Simons’ main role was managing product approvals to CPD, EMC, LVD and approval agencies including LPCB, AFNOR, BOSEC, UL and VdS. He has also worked on various technical committees, including the FIA and Euralarm trade associations, BSI FSH12 and ISO TC21 standards committees.
Mr Simons also worked for Eurotherm, manufacturer of industrial process control equipment.
