FIREX 2018: Kentec to unveil Ockular monitoring software with site mapping

At FIREX 2018 Kentec is set to unveil Ockular, software through which users can create a 2D site map of the site or building.

The map will automatically signal where a fire device has been activated to allow immediate viewing and investigation.

It will also display emergency assembly and fire control points.

Fully configurable on site with an administrator login, Ockular supports dual screens, one of which can be dedicated to the map. Configuration errors are reported whenever the panel configuration is revised.

Other features include programmable macro buttons to perform panel control operations and map navigation, device and zone disablement/enablement, and comprehensive event log filtering and reporting.

Stephen Hynes, sales and marketing director at Kentec, says: “In a fire situation, speed of response is critical. Our new Ockular solution allows operators to quickly and accurately determine where a fire has been detected and take the appropriate response.”

Kentec will also showcase its Sigma and Syncro ranges of extinguishing control panels – specified worldwide in continuity-critical environments, like data centres, airports and financial centres.

The Sigma XT is suitable for small to medium fixed firefighting installations, while the Sigma XT+ combines the Sigma CP conventional fire detection from two to eight zones and has highly configurable extinguishing control modules that provide an integrated control solution for up to four protected areas.

The Syncro XT+ includes the other benefits of analogue addressable systems such as control of loop connected sounders, beacons and input/output modules.

All Sigma and Syncro panels are fully approved to EN12094-1, EN54-2 & EN54-4.

Also featured at their stand will be Kentec’s leading ranges of EN, UL & FM, Marine, Analogue, Conventional & Extinguishant ranges of Fire Control Panel Solutions.

Kentec is exhibiting at FIREX International, 19-21 June 2018, ExCeL London. You can find them on stand A400. Register now.
