Four visual monitoring companies combine to form Netwatch Group

Netwatch has merged with three other visual monitoring companies to form a new global force: Netwatch Group.

The newly company includes Netwatch in Ireland, NMC and CalAtlantic in the United States and Onwatch Multifire in the UK, and is backed by private equity firm The Riverside Company.

The combined group protects hundreds of thousands of sites in the US, UK, Europe Middle East and Africa, and operates in sectors including government, transportation, critical infrastructure, manufacturing, education, sports and leisure, finance, retail and residential.

The company will have a network of six advanced global monitoring centres, connected by the Netwatch CRATOS technology platform.

The merger of the four companies was led by Samir Samhouri, former chairman and CEO of Xtralis, which was acquired by Honeywell in 2016.  He is appointed Chairman of Netwatch Group and will be one of the company’s investors.

“We are creating a global leader in proactive monitoring services, said David Walsh, co-founder of Netwatch and CEO of the new group. “There is increased demand for visual monitoring from enterprise customers, driven by the continuing evolution of technology and advances such as AI, deep learning, 5G and IoT.

“The combined strengths of NMC, CalAtlantic, Onwatch Multifire and Netwatch – all leaders in their respective geographies –  means that we can immediately deliver industry-leading proprietary technologies in proactive visual monitoring to hundreds of thousands of clients who rely on us to protect lives, assets and business operations.”

Netwatch Group is headquartered in Carlow, Ireland. Its North American headquarters are in Lake Forest, California with satellite offices in Boston, New Jersey, Dallas, Houston, and Chicago.  The company’s UK headquarters are in East Sussex.
