Hanwha Techwin launches five compact Wisenet Dome Cameras with “most powerful” DSP chipset yet

Hanwha Techwin has launched a raft of new, space-saving H.265 Wisenet Dome Cameras with the most powerful DSP chipset yet incorporated into the range.

The video surveillance brand will introduce five new dome cameras at IFSEC 2018 between 19-21 June.

The new additions to the award winning Wisenet X camera series are vandal-resistant and designed to recognise critical sounds like gunshots, explosions and screams and capture 2MP high definition images.

Their size means they are ideal for places with limited space such as lifts, lobbies, stairwells and small shops. Three of the new models are built to withstand vibrations which may occur in transport environments.

Additional features include detection for fog and defocus.

Like other cameras within the Wisenet X range, these new compact models use H265 compression technology to improve bandwidth by up to 99%. WiseStream II dynamically controls encoding, balancing quality and compression according to movement within the image.

24x digital PTZ, bi-directional audio, Hallway View, motion detection and handover are also offered as standard, as is the ability to store up to 256GB of data via an SD/SDHC/SDXC memory slot to ensure video is automatically recorded in the event of network disruption.

The 5 new models

  • Wisenet XNV-6012: Vandal-resistant 2MP network flat camera. Built-in 2.4mm fixed lens
  • Wisenet XNV-6012M: Vibration and  vandal-resistant 2MP network flat camera. Built-in 2.4mm fixed lens
