Hanwha Techwin launches Wisenet X and Wisenet T cameras for extreme environments

Hanwha Techwin has introduced four stainless-steel dome cameras to its Wisenet X camera series and added a 2MP Wisenet TNU-6320 network positioning camera to its WiseNet T range.

The Wisenet X series

Launched in early 2017 the Wisenet X range featured a powerful new DSP chipset, 150dB Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) and motorised varifocal F0.94 low light lens – all of which the company claims are unmatched in the market.

Wisenet X cameras also featured H.265 compression and WiseStream II, a complementary compression technology that dynamically controls encoding, balancing quality and compression according to movement in the image. Bandwidth efficiency jumped 99% compared to standard H.264 technology, claims Hanwha Techwin.

Stainless steel Wisenet domes

Designed for industrial environments where chemicals are used, plus transport and off-shore applications. Constructed of SUS316L standard stainless-steel the new domes are highly resistant to corrosion and acid.

The four new models are:

  • Wisenet XNP-6320HS 2MP 32x network PTZ dome camera
  • Wisenet XNV-6120RS 2MP Vandal resistant IR dome camera
  • Wisenet XNV-6080RS 2MP Vandal resistant IR dome camera with motorised varifocal lens
  • Wisenet XNV-8080RS 5MP Vandal resistant IR dome camera

Hanwha Techwin says

“We have developed these new stainless-steel products in order to meet the needs of end-user clients who operate in difficult operating conditions but wish to benefit from the innovative technology incorporated into the Wisenet series,” said Bob (HY) Hwang PhD, managing director of Hanwha Techwin Europe.

“System integrators who install these ultra-robust camera domes can do so safe in the knowledge that they will be effective regardless of whether they are used for security, health and safety or production monitoring purposes.”

Wisenet TNU-6320 network Positioning camera

The Wisenet T series is designed for challenging environmental conditions such as extreme temperatures or use of corrosive substances.

The new Wisenet TNU-6320 day/night (ICR) camera has an aluminium die cast exterior that equips it to perform up to an ambient temperature of 55°C or as low as minus 40°C.

Features

  • Programmable to constantly pan 360° to monitor a wide area – 55 pre-set positions can be scheduled
  • Progressive Scan creates sharp edges on moving subjects and vehicles
  • Motion detection
  • Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) performs beyond 120dB to improve images in scenes containing both very bright and very dark areas
  • Defog
  • Digital Image Stabilisation
  • Varifocal lens
  • Supports H.264 and MJPEG compression
  • SD/SDHC/SDXC memory slot sustains automatic recorded in the event of network disruption
  • Analytics modules include virtual line, appear/disappear, face detection and camera tampering
