Honeywell has announced an integration between three of its network camera series’ and life safety solutions from Xtralis, which specialises in very early warning life safety and security solutions.
A software update – called XOa 3.2.33 – will allow system integrators to connect Performance, equIP and HDZ Series cameras with ADPRO, FastTrace, the 2E remotely programmable gateway, the new iFT Series IP video NVR+ and HeiTel iVG video gateways.
Honeywell says the integration will cut costs for integrators and help them offer customers greater scope for realising truly connected buildings through Xtralis’ signature trinity of security responses: reliable detection, visual verification and remote response.
“With the integration of Honeywell cameras and Xtralis operating systems, we can now offer enterprise facilities the option for an end-to-end remote monitoring solution,” said Alessandro Araldi, vice president of marketing for Honeywell Home and Building Technologies.
“XOa 3.2.33 creates opportunity for dealers and installers to save money by remotely updating systems and through the simplistic integration with Honeywell cameras.”
Installers can remotely update existing systems by downloading software from the Xtralis xChange online licence portal. Xtralis video content analytics (VCA) can also be integrated with ADPRO and HeiTel platforms to automatically detect security threats picked up from Honeywell IP camera streams.
IntrusionTrace VCA provides configurable perimeter and intrusion threat detection, while LoiterTrace VCA detects behaviour consistent with loitering in order to identify a threat early.
SmokeTrace VCA is also available, providing remote video verification of a smoke threat, likewise ClientTrace VCA, a business intelligence application designed to boost sales performance at big-box retailers.
Honeywell’s low-light camera technology can work in concert with Xtralis video analytics without the need for external light sources, while motorized focal zoom helps installers set up and calibrate the Honeywell cameras.
