PACOM Systems launches device to target false alarms

PACOM Systems, the provider of security and access control solutions, has launched a new hybrid control panel aimed at reducing the occurrence of false alarms.

The PACOM 8003 is a hybrid panel that enables advanced access control and EN Grade 3 intrusion detection across a range of applications, from simple two-door installations to campuses and multi-site estates.

It is built to comply with EN 50131 and BS8243 PD6662-2017 approvals and reduces false alarms by using alarm activation with video, audio and sequential alarm verification as well as confirming whether a police response is activated.

The hybrid PACOM 8003 delivers more scalability, power and flexibility than any other integrated control panel in its class.” Gavin O’Keeffe, global technical director, STANLEY Product & Technology

Gavin O’Keeffe, Global Technical Director at STANLEY Product & Technology, which owns, PACOM Systems, explained: “The PACOM 8003 can significantly improve return on investment through a security solution that has been carefully engineered to protect people, property and assets – while reducing false alarms. The hybrid PACOM 8003 delivers more scalability, power and flexibility than any other integrated control panel in its class.”

The PACOM-Edge Technology allows for increased security across a company’s Ethernet and reduces the need for traditional security cabling.

It also offers up to eight configurable five state inputs and eight outputs comprising two relays and six open collectors.  Inputs can be expanded up to 64 and outputs can be expanded up to 32 via the addition of on-board expansion modules and/or remote I/O devices.

Other features include a network port and the option of on-board access.

Pacom Systems is exhibiting at IFSEC International, 19-21 June 2018, ExCeL London. You can find them on stand F222. Register now.
