The Tool Zone will now form part of Show Me How, a new theme underpinning the ethos of IFSEC 2018, developed in response to feedback from visitors. Asked how we could improve the show, security professionals frequently began their reply with “Show me…”

LPCB Attack Testing Zone returns for IFSEC 2018: Watch last year’s action and view 2018 timetable

Check out what’s in store at the LPCB Attack Zone at IFSEC 2018.

The popular area, which drew huge crowds in 2017, returns to IFSEC between 19-21 June at London ExCeL.

LPCB will carry out live security tests to compare the durability of a range of security products, highlighting critical differences between approved and unapproved versions. The tests will show the importance of procuring only approved security products and the risks if you don’t.

Technicians from the LPCB put non-approved products to the test alongside LPCB-approved alternatives that have achieved a minimum of LPS 1175 SR-3 compliance. The LPCB – Loss Prevention Certification Board – was set up by certification body BRE Global.

For a foretaste of what you can seen at London ExCeL, check out our highlights video from last year’s Attack Testing Zone below. Security doors, perimeter fencing, shutters and covers were subjected to hammers, wire cutters and other handheld tools.

Drone Zone returns

IFSEC 2018 will provide the facts about drones and why businesses can no longer ignore them.

After a few years of rapid development, drones and other unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) are now offering flexible and unprecedented solutions to a range of security issues. With a range of uses including, but in no way limited to, thermal imaging, automated security patrols and assistance with off and on-site deployment, drone use is only limited by the imagination and foresight of the businesses suing the technology.

The Drone Zone is returning to IFSEC 2018 by popular demand, offering visitors the chance to see drones, and anti-drone solutions, in action and speak to world-leading experts and providers to find out how products could work for your business.

Tavcom Training, part of the Link International Group, will form a key component of the new ‘Show Me How’ project at IFSEC 2018 and will once again deliver essential CPD accredited presentations on important technical subjects for security professionals.
