I was surprised to see that it is happening just as often in the UK as it is in the US. It seems there are bad people everywhere trying to take what they have not earned.

Absolutely. It’s natural really that where there is morality there must be immorality.

Well, don’t know about better technology. Maybe cyber criminals but not your average burglar. But they are more flexible and adaptable.

It is surprising and it’s unfortunate that there seems to be no shortage of these bad people all across the world.

Not necessarily. I mean, I’m sure some have access to newer tools, but those who don’t make do with what they have and use it craftily to do their dirty deeds. A shame, really, because they could’ve put their talents to good use.

@ batye
Crime is everywhere anymore. I remember as a kid being able to sleep out on the front porch with my cousins, we never locked the front door…heck, most of the time it was left wide open. We didn’t worry about someone coming to hurt us…the most we worried about was a neighbor smelling dinner cooking through the open door and walking in to invite themselves to dinner. Times have changed.

It is unfortunate. You can go to the most beautiful place in the world and you could still get mugged.
