MOBOTIX has announced a number of changes to its portfolio, including launching MxMultiSense, a four-way sensor as well as its first-ever POE+ switch and upgrades to the MxActivitySensor and MxManagementCenter.
MxActivitySensor reduces false alarms by differentiating between relevant and irrelevant events.
Integrated into MOBOTIX cameras since 2013 this video motion detector does not trigger false alarms in the event of environmental interference such as rain, snowfall or moving trees or poles.
MxActivitySensor 2.0, which is available in the latest firmware version (4.4.2.34), introduces intelligent 3D motion detection to identify common types of motion from birds or small wild animals.
In the example depicted in the image below, the person seeking access through the fence triggers an alarm but the dog does not.
The German surveillance brand has also launched MxMultiSense, a four-way sensor that reaches areas that cannot be captured by cameras. It records information such as noise level, movement (PIR), temperature and brightness and is, claims MOBOTIX, a cost-effective supplement to camera installations.
MOBOTIX has also introduced its first-ever PoE+ capable network switch. A compact DIN rail module that can directly connect and power up to four MOBOTIX door stations, cameras or other PoE/PoE+ devices, MxSwitch is pitched at IP installations in small systems, including small businesses and smart homes.
Mounting height has been minimised for quicker, simpler installation in electrical cabinets. MOBOTIX gives the example that MxSwitch reduces cabling during installation of a fully preconfigured T25 Smart Access Set 2.
The new firmware version (4.4.2.34) is available on the MOBOTIX website for download.
MOBOTIX has also recently upgraded the video management version of MxManagementCenter. MxMC 1.3 was downloaded over 10,000 times in the first five weeks after its release.
New functions include a tree structure in the device bar (which can be expanded on the side), which provides a clear overview and is intended to simplify navigation between cameras and camera groups.
