Pivot3 wins 2018 Innovative Product Award for large-scale surveillance solution

Pivot3, a developer of hybrid cloud and IoT security solutions, has won a 2018 Global Security Exchange (GSX) Innovative Product Award for its large-scale video surveillance solution.

Launched mid summer 2018 the Pivot3 platform was commended for outperforming rival server and storage systems in terms of reliability, operational benefits and cost-effectiveness.

The platform, which is suited to deployments requiring 500TB of storage or more, offers “the performance, resiliency, scalability and ease of use that is required for large scale environments at a lower cost than any other enterprise solution,” according to the Austin, Texas-based company.

Installing the platform helps mission-critical organisations to streamline video, security management and storage environments by hosting video management software and other security applications, and data storage on a resilient, secure and scalable infrastructure. The solution can support more than 6PB of storage and 15,000 HD cameras in a single rack, reducing footprint, power and cooling requirements.

Modular, scalable

Video management software, security applications and storage are hosted on a modular, scalable appliance to deliver lower cost, higher rack density, multi-PB video installations. Up to 30,000 mbits/s of video ingest (1430 mbit/s per node) is supported.

Video surveillance software provider Pivot3 received another clutch of awards for is latest software version, vSTAC 7.6, earlier in the year.

Milestone Systems recently certified Pivot3’s infrastructure solutions for mission-critical environments when used in conjunction with the Milestone XProtect video management software (VMS).

Pivot3 develops solutions designed to meet the requirements of modern data centers, video surveillance, edge and cloud computing environments, with the emphasis on performance, scale, and resiliency. The company is harnessing autonomous cloud computing to create smarter infrastructure solutions.
