Eagle Eye Networks
Smart Video Search
Similar to a web search, customers type in descriptions such as “man with blue shirt”, “person with backpack”, or “white Toyota car”. Results can be narrowed down by date, time, location or camera. Eagle Eye uses AI to index video in near real time, making the video searchable almost instantly, and delivering fast, accurate results, says the company. Business owners and security directors can use Smart Video Search to set up real-time alerts to notify them of important or problematic situations. Another feature of Search is “re-identification,” – the ability to identify a person of interest and follow them across all cameras.
2N
IP Intercom integration with Johnson controls C•CURE 9000 system
The benefits of the new partnership are said to be a clear graphic interface from which the operator can initiate a call with a person standing at the entrance of a building, along with 24/7 monitoring of the status of connected devices. Users can also view the status of calls and security alarms in the event log, while notifications and the automatic linking of events from the intercom to the access control, video management and other systems can support improved efficiency.
For installers, it means they are said to have direct integration with plugins between 2N and C•CURE, calls from the intercom and the main station can be made directly via an SIP call or SIP Proxy, and alarms can be linked via the intercom.
Abloy UK
Cumulus Controller for keyless access control
Designed for commercial properties and public spaces, the controller can be managed with Abloy OS INCEDO or by integrating with a third-party system. The solution is said to offer well documented application programming interfaces (APIs) and mobile software development kits (SDKs) for easy integration and partner solutions. Cumulus tracks usage, recording opening and locking events automatically, and these audit trails can be accessed from the management system.
Inner Range
Enhancements for Integriti
The system can also now integrate with MOBOTIX HUB cameras, and an existing interface with Milestone provides more advanced options for operators too. Another development allows basic visitor management to be carried out directly within Integriti via a dedicated interface. Default properties and permissions can be set up for different types of visitors, said to make it easier for users to create suitable credentials, and manage current visitors on site. This is available for Integriti customers with ‘business’ or ‘corporate’ software options.
Other enhancements include being able to create QR code credentials for visitors directly within the security system, without the need for a visitor management system, as well as new integrations with STid Bluetooth door readers, and Dormakaba wireless locks.
Peoplesafe
Alert mass notification tool
Technology-led employee safety specialist, Peoplesafe, has unveiled a mass notification tool designed for instant communication with employees in a crisis. Peoplesafe Alert enables organisations to send and track critical safety messages to thousands of employees simultaneously, overriding phones set to silent or do not disturb and, if necessary, using geofencing capabilities to only communicate with those in a certain location. Designed to be used in a crisis situation, the tool can be operated in real time and messages cannot be edited or forwarded to protect the credibility of the organisation and guarantee that the information is current, correct and constantly controlled. Administrators of the service are said to also have the power to delete communications with outdated information to avoid any confusion which is imperative in a rapidly developing situation.
With its own platform, the app can sit on multiple devices and operating systems which guarantees that the priority messages will cut through any other conflicting or distracting messages at the time of an emergency, asserts the provider. Although UK based, the Peoplesafe Alert service is available in all countries and languages, meaning that employees can be targeted by country if required. This also means that messages can reach employees no matter where they are in the world when a crisis unfolds. The tool is designed to be fully compliant with ISO22301 and the encrypted service is delivered from ISO27001 certified data centres.
GJD
GEM external wired curtain detector utilising PIR technology
The product is supplied with a customisable “T” bracket for narrow beam applications. An additional swivel bracket can be purchased for applications that require a customisable pan and tilt angle. If it is mounted on a T-Bracket or a swivel bracket, the tamper will still activate if vandalism occurs.
It also has a switch selectable detection range, adjustable sensitivity, LED indication on/off options, a low voltage to be used in various applications and a two-year warranty.
Videx
New Digital IP Panel Range
Available in a vandal-resistant 4000 series style and full vandal-resistant with a stainless steel bezel flush back box, the digital panels come with the option of an alpha-numeric keypad (A-F) or name search and scroll facility keypad. Custom sized panels are also available. All models are said to include a large 128×64 pixel graphical LCD display which is back lit blue, designed to provide clear visual messages that can be displayed in multiple languages for the user of the system. The panels can be powered by either POE or a 12Vdc supply. Advanced features such as RTSP to stream the video from the camera and HTTP for third party integration are standard, alongside full SIP integration (including direct SIP for use without a SIP server) to allow the digital panel to be used with third party telephone systems and similar scenarios.
Ajax Systems
MultiTransmitter updates
The new version allows users to connect wired water leaks detectors to the system, while the device can now notify users about a service event, without sending the alarm to the security company’s monitoring station. This can be useful to keep track of the water level in a reservoir or the state of smoke machine service outlets. For the convenience of installation engineers, Ajax have provided a tool in Ajax apps that measures the resistance of termination resistors and sets recommended values. Production and delivery of the previous version of MultiTransmitter has now stopped, and users and partners can distinguish between versions as the new device comes in different packaging with a “3EOL” label.
