"critical role"

S2 Security adds streamed TV and enhanced forensics for S2 Magic Monitor 6.1

S2 Security, the developer of complete enterprise security solutions, has released an updated version of S2 Magic Monitor.

The latest incarnation – version 6.1 – introduces internet-streamed TV as well as enhancements to Magic Monitor Forensics.

S2 Magic Monitor unifies access control, video surveillance, forensics, digital signage and live internet feeds in a single user interface.

“Broadcast television plays a critical role in situational awareness as well as entertainment,” said S2 Security CEO John L Moss. “Whether you’re seeing an important world event unfold or watching the ball game in the cafeteria, Magic Monitor does it.”

Users with a YouTube TV account can now send TV streams to an external Magic Monitor, expanding digital signage options throughout the enterprise.

Magic Monitor Forensics can now locate and share more information about recorded video. Forensics timeline visually differentiates between types of recorded content and users can add visual bookmarks and descriptive text to bookmarks.

They can make notes, create reminders or relay information to another team member who is reviewing footage. Plus they can aggregate, search for and edit bookmarks, simplifying navigation back to the video once located.

S2 Security-certified integrators can now download version 6.1 via S2 Support Central. Previously registered software can be updated remotely through S2 Cumulus.

S2 Security has been commissioned to provide security systems for enterprise customers – including Fortune 500 corporations – in sectors that include education, healthcare, manufacturing and government.
