STid wins SIA award for Best Access Control Mobile App 2017

IFSEC exhibitor STid will arrive at London ExceL in June fresh from winning a prestigious award for Best Access Control Mobile App.

STid, a leader in high-security access control solutions, was awarded the Gold Trophy for the SIA’s Best Access Control Mobile App for its STid Mobile ID app.

Used in conjunction with STid Architect Blue readers, STiD’s Mobile ID transfers the user’s access card onto their smartphone to work alongside or replace their RFID card. Users can open a door by tapping their smartphone twice in their pocket or by simply swiping their hand against the access reader, even during a phone call or if the phone is in a bag.

Mobile ID beat 120 other candidates to the accolade.

The Security Industry Association (SIA) awarded STid with its Mobile Apps trophy at ISC West in Las Vegas.

“The STid Mobile ID® app has a lot of potential,” said one of the judges in their verdict. “What truly sets it apart is its user-friendliness. We were impressed with its various identification methods, allowing the user to open a door without getting their phone out of their pocket.

“This is a real improvement for organisations in search of simplicity and efficiency.”

STid CEO Vincent Dupart said: “This fifth trophy recognises STid’s ability to bring advances to the security industry with its non-proprietary, open technologies that make people’s lives easier. The award consolidates our objective to develop new solutions to reach new international markets.”

STid is one of the leading developers of contactless identification solutions using RFID, NFC and Bluetooth Smart technologies.

STid also recently sealed a partnership agreement with Genetec, under which its RFID access control readers would now be available through Genetec’s international reseller network.

STid are showcasing their access control solutions on stand F1300 at IFSEC International, taking place 20-22 June 2017, London ExCeL. Get your free badge now.
