‘Secure by default’ in the age of converged security

A ‘beacon’ for training

SITO, the National Training Organisation for the security industry, has been hailed as a ‘beacon’ in the NTO network.
The compliment came as part of its annual appraisal by the Department for Education and Employment.
With an overall achievement mark of ‘A’, the appraisal rated SITO as “fully meeting expectations”. It said SITO’s main strengths were its “quality systems, commercial approach to business opportunities, customer satisfaction rate and dynamically led team …all in all SITO has built up a talented and committed team who strive continuously for excellence.”
The report concludes: “SITO is very much a customer-focused organisation. As a result it has brokered effective partnerships, where appropriate, to deliver its products and services. The NTO now employs 40 people. It is rapidly becoming a beacon of the NTO network.”

Ray Clarke, Chief Executive of SITO said: “This is excellent news for SITO and a definite pat on the back from the DfEE.” He added: “We have worked hard … Next year our aim is to achieve an even higher rating.”
