Today’s facility and security managers are faced with an ongoing need to optimise technology and resources in order to improve physical security operations.
Selecting the correct technology and resources to do so, however, requires thoughtful consideration if the desired goals are to be met.
The PowerCheck guard tour system from Morse Watchmans is an invaluable management tool that has been designed with the functionality and ease of use needed to meet the demands of a comprehensive security operation.
This affordable solution – with its multiple tour capabilities, integrated functions and reporting options – can also help to limit an organisation’s exposure to liability issues, as well as provide measurements for accountability.
Ease of use for security officers
“The organisation, management and guard activities can be more efficiently achieved through the PowerCheck guard tour system, which is designed to computerise reporting procedures and offer ease of use for security officers,” said Fernando Pires, vice-president of sales and marketing at Morse Watchmans. “The system ensures that tasks are being completed.”
The computerised PowerCheck guard tour system comprises a hand-held data recorder, checkpoint stations and reporting software. The hand-held data recorder allows security personnel to input incident codes on site using the built-in keypad and display.
The Tour-Pro data sorting software is a Windows application which converts the data recorder information into custom reports, and was developed specifically for the Morse Watchmans PowerCheck solution.
For added value and convenience, the software enables programming of the data recorder and file management.
Programmable incident codes
Paperwork is minimised with 99 user programmable incident codes. These codes could be input at any time by a given security officer, and may be downloaded to the computer at the end of the guard tour.
The Auto Pilot feature prompts officers to visit the next station, and can be programmed for random tour sequences to help ensure compliance.
Checkpoint stations have a lifetime warranty and are designed for indoor and outdoor use. Their compact design and size blend well into any environment.
