Vanderbilt integrates access control systems with Eventys NVRs

Global security systems provider Vanderbilt Industries has integrated its access control systems with Eventys network video recorders (NVRs) to link footage of people who have been denied access or tried to force entry into buildings.

According to New Jersey-headquartered Vanderbilt, blending access control and video surveillance makes daily management of multiple security systems more efficient because it minimises the use of different systems for different tasks by combining operations in a single interface.

The offering integrates the ACTEnterprise access control software, from Access Control Technology (ACT), which Vanderbilt acquired in 2016, and the Eventys series EX network video recorder (NVR) platform. Footage can be recorded by up to 16 IP cameras.

Events recorded in the real-time access control log such as ‘access denied’ or ‘door forced’ can be linked with the associated footage stored on the NVR. A door with a camera associated will display a camera icon, which when clicked on replays the footage.

Up to 500 Eventys EX NVRs and 4,000 IP cameras can be connected to ACTEnterprise software without the need for an additional PC or a server.
