Vanderbilt SPC accredited to first cybersecurity standard dedicated to intrusion systems

Vanderbilt’s SPC intrusion system has been accredited to the NF A2P Cyber-RTC cybersecurity standard from French approval body CNPP.

The accreditation offers customers assurance – in the French market in particular –that data and communications are secured whether they’re on-site or using SPC Connect to enable cloud services.

Communications between SPC, an IP-ready intrusion alarm system, and other systems are made more secure by using the FlexC protocol to communicate with AES256-CBC encryption. It also accommodates greater flexibility through the SPC user models.

User rights and permissions protect the user and system from malicious attacks.

“By certifying our SPC intrusion ranges on the latest CNPP NFA2P at Cyber Type 2 and 3 repositories, Vanderbilt provides all its customers with high-level security for all remote monitoring transmissions, as well as for cloud applications such as our service SPC Connect to combine user-friendliness, availability and security,” said Hervé Houy, Vanderbilt country manager for France.

Said Nick Pegtol, Vanderbilt’s country manager for Benelux, Greece and Cyprus: “The market is flushed with cybersecurity standards, but the NF cybersecurity standard from CNPP is the first specifically developed for intrusion alarm systems. It is a great way to benchmark and improve our SPC intrusion systems.”

Vanderbilt is also working closely with ANSSI, the French National Cybersecurity Agency, to strengthen its credibility in the French market.
