WATCH: Compliance and the ‘golden thread’ with Gerda Security

Andrew Thompson, business development manager for Gerda Security, spoke to FIREX TV about how compliance and the ‘golden thread’ of accountability and traceability guide Gerda’s design, manufacture and supply processes.

Gerda Security is a UK manufacturer of fire safety and security products and services. This includes flat-entrance doorsets, also discussed in the video below, and the subject of guidance published by DHF, SBD and FIA.

The independently-owned Gerda group of companies supplies products for buildings in sectors including housing, property management, residential care, transport & infrastructure, heritage, manufacturing, healthcare, environmental, commerce and leisure. They work closely with leading authorities in fire safety and the Fire & Rescue Service nationwide as well as Secured by Design, the official UK police initiative aimed at ‘designing out crime’.

Gerda tests its product ranges extensively with the help of UKAS-accredited test houses to achieve third-party certification with recognised UK notified bodies.
