Cloud recording software from Manything Pro is now available to users of analogue Hikvision surveillance systems.
This means system installers can add IP functionality to existing coax systems. Cloud subscription plans give them a fresh source of recurring revenue without the need to replace cameras or cabling.
The system can be set up in less than five minutes through the Manything Pro smartphone app, available on Apple and Android. The installer just enters the DVR’s IP address, port number, username and password.
Once Manything Pro is installed on the DVR, the security software detects the cameras and adds them to the app. Cameras can then be viewed and controlled remotely and footage is sent to the secure offsite Manything Pro cloud.

Three Hikvision DVR models are currently compatible – DS-7204HUHI-K1, DS-7204HUHI-K1/P and DS-7204HUHI-K2 – with more coming soon.
Manything Pro has a payment platform which handles recurring subscription payments. The installer just specifies the price they want to charge their customer.
Founded in 2012, Manything (standing for ‘monitor anything’) originally turned old smartphones and tablets into video monitoring cameras. In 2016 the Oxfordshire-based company diversified into the professional security industry and integrated its software with a range of Hikvision cameras.
The platform monitors 25 years of video every day for more than 900,000 registered users.
