Hikvision has opened a new UK office, showroom and training suite in West London.
Based in Stockley Park, Uxbridge the new site features a 5,000-square foot training academy where engineers can get hands on with Hikvision’s network cameras – both analogue and digital.
The video surveillance giant’s previous training facility had been increasingly unable to meet demand as it could only train 20 installers, integrators and engineers per day, once a week. The new centre can accommodate 32 engineers a day, twice a week.
The Hikvision Certified Security Academy (HCSA) has trained 800 engineers in the past 12 months.
Trainees and other visitors can also check out Hikvision’s latest video surveillance solutions in a brand new showroom. Products on show currently include the Darkfighter PTZ range, Turbo, the PanoVu series and thermal cameras. Television screens showcase the image quality achieved by Hikvision products in comparison with other CCTV cameras on the market.
More than 35 employees are based in the office, which is only 25 minutes from Paddington railway station and has more parking spaces than the previous location. Hikvision says its expanded facilities will better equip it to support potential and existing customers.
Hikvision, which is the world’s biggest provider of video surveillance products by global sales, recently acquired intruder alarm company Pyronix in a move that signalled diversification beyond video surveillance into end-to-end solutions.
