MicroPower Technologies is Latest Video Surveillance Company to Join ONVIF

California-based CCTV brand MicroPower Technologies is the latest company to join ONVIF.

Joining the other 200-plus members of the international open industry forum, which was founded in 2008 by Axis Communications, Bosch Security Systems and Sony the company will now have a voice in influencing the industry’s de facto technical standard.

ONVIF compliance requirements for SOLVEIL, a wireless, solar-powered surveillance platform – which was showcased at IFSEC 2015 – are projected for completion by the fourth quarter of 2015.

“The physical security industry stands to benefit greatly from a universal IP standard, especially as the adoption of networked solutions continues to accelerate,” said Dave Tynan, vice president of global marketing and sales at MicroPower Technologies.

“We are thrilled to be a part of ONVIF during this key time, and we look forward to contributing to the progress of improved interoperability throughout our industry.”
