The camera has been issued certification to show that it complies with the EN-50155 standard relating to reliability when subject to the conditions aboard a train.
Peter Ainsworth, senior product manager for Samsung Techwin Europe said “This certification, together with the fact that the SNV-5010 network vandal resistant dome camera was certified in 2011 to the same EN-50155 standard, means that we can now offer customers the flexibility to choose between analogue or network based solutions.”
Among the cameras’ features are the fact it is ‘vandal resistant’ and full weatherproofed to IP66. The SCV-2010F is an extremely small camera at 100x 115 x 42mm, and uses Samsung’s W-5 DSP chipset to deliver high resolutions in light levels as low as 0.04Lux. It has a 3mm lens and captures around 90 degrees of the view, while also using Samsung’s Super Noise Reduction and Sens-up technologies to further enhance low light performance.
Other features of key interest to security installers include:
– Coaxial Control
– Highlight Compensation
– Motion Detection
– Samsung Super Dynamic Range (SSDR)
– Multi-language on-screen display
– Up to 12 privacy zones to be outlined in different colours and brightness settings
