Dome camera review: Hikvision DS-2CD2112-i

This noticeably small 1.3MP Network Dome Camera from Hikvision comes in at an entry-level price point, but it feels really sturdy for the money.

The Hikvision DS-2CD2112-i has 30 infrared LEDs, so it is good down to 0lux. We tested it indoors and outdoors, and the 30 infrared LEDs mean the image is very well lit, performing very well with minimal artefacting behind moving objects.

The camera is IP66-rated and vandal-resistant, but it uses normal Phillips head screws, not security screws, to access the lens. There is also no aux in or out for audio or alarms.

Considering the price point, the Hikvision DS-2CD2112-i performed well in both daytime and nighttime testing.
