The list has been collated from the various press releases and stories the two editorial teams have been receiving in past weeks and months from vendors and manufacturers in the security sphere. While the list is by no means exhaustive – it is based largely on the insights from editors and journalists have gathered from recent interactions – it will be “updated frequently”. In addition, the list only comprises support resources that are “free and with no strings attached”.
Omdia and Dark Reading also highlight that while the resources are classed as ‘free’, solutions from vendors may still “have an impact on IT resources in terms of management and administration”. Included in some of the resources are free security products for medical organisations during the pandemic, free cyber security training, ransomware support for firms affected by COVID-19, and much more.
