BIM, Smart Buildings and IoT to Feature in Upcoming Euralarm Symposium

Registration is now open for the Euralarm Symposium, which takes place in Lisbon on 9 May 2016.

An early bird rate applies until 4 March.

Building Information Modelling (BIM), smart buildings and the Internet of Things (IoT) will be under the spotlight as Euralarm – which represents more than 5,000 fire and security businesses across Europe – offers attendees advice on improving productivity and becoming more cost-effective in their operations.

Building Information Modelling (BIM), which digitally represents a building’s physical and functional characteristics, is an increasingly popular tool in planning, designing, commissioning and maintaining buildings.

Euralarm says it will also help attendees make sense of the ‘smart buildings’ and IoT concepts, both disruptive trends in the security market, with major implications for the ongoing convergence of building systems, including fire safety, security, HVAC and so on.

Anyone attended the symposium will also have the opportunity to network with with other professionals.

The agenda for the event, which will take place at the Intercontinental Lisbon Hotel, can be viewed here.
