Chief Fire and Rescue Adviser Peter Holland Confirmed for FIREX 2016

The government’s Chief Fire and Rescue Adviser, Peter Holland CBE, will deliver a presentation on UK fire safety at FIREX International 2016.

Holland will share his thoughts on the first day (21 June) of the three-day show, between 10:30am-11:00am in the FPA Infozone, which is stand E60 in ExCeL London.

Th former Chief Fire Officer of Lancashire Fire and Rescue Authority, who was 25th on our list of the most influential people in fire and security 2015, has been in the role since succeeding Sir Ken Knight in 2013.

Across more than four decades Holland has been a front-line firefighter, senior manager, led two brigades and been International President of the Institution of Fire Engineer and President of the Chief Fire Officer’s Association.

Appointed by the Home Office The Chief Fire and Rescue Adviser (CFRA) provides strategic advice to ministers, civil servants and fire and rescue authorities in England on the structure, organisation and performance of fire and rescue authorities.

The FPA programme also features Matt Wrack on ‘The Fire Brigades Union View: the State of the Union Address’ (21 June, 10:30-11:00am) and Gareth Dean on Tackling unwanted alarm signals (21 June, 12:30am-1pm).
