|EN54-4 power supplies drive the aspirating detection system|
A futuristic 14-screen cinema complex has been kitted out with a range of life safety equipment from C-Tec.
Vue Westfield is said to be the biggest all-digital cinema in Europe and features two super-size screens the size of four double-decker buses.
A series of C-Tec’s 24V EN54-4 compliant power supplies control the aspirating system which continuously samples air for the smallest traces of smoke, to provide early warning in the event of a fire.
The complex is also equipped with a SigNet Integrity voice alarm system which functions as a fully integrated voice alarm, public address and background music system.
Other installations include a disabled refuge communication system, and an addressable call system for the cinema’s 11 washrooms for disabled people.
The Wireless Access Control Market in 2014
The market for wireless access control remains embryonic – just 6% of businesses have a fully wireless system, according to this new IFSEC Global survey.
This low installed base obviously represents an opportunity for manufacturers, distributors and installers of wireless access control systems.
