Question Time on Passive Fire Protection With the ASFP

The Association for Specialist Fire Protection (ASFP) is leading an ambitious, interactive ‘Question Time’-style debate at FIREX International 2016.

Taking place in the Expertise & Guidance Theatre on day two of the event, the question and answer session will cover topics like:

  • What are my options if my fire compartmentation is deficient?
  • How do I know if fire-resisting products are fit for purpose?
  • What is the relevance of third-party certification when specifying and installing passive fire protection
  • What exactly are my legal responsibilities?

Questions will be put to the panel of fire-safety experts – and attendees can submit questions in advance – who are drawn from across the built environment, on the most pressing passive fire protection issues for organisations and buildings of various types.

The discussion will be applicable to, and have input from the perspective of:

  • Architects/designers
  • Fire engineers
  • Main contractor
  • Passive fire protection installer
  • Passive fire protection manufacturer
  • Certification bodies
  • The Fire Service
  • Building control
  • Facilities managers
  • Insurers
  • Building owners
