Whitepaper: Enhancing security, resilience and efficiency across a range of industries

Wilf Knight (1944-2008): a tribute by Brian Sims

Born in Lowestoft, Suffolk on 24 May 1944, Wilf – upon leaving Watford Boys Grammar School – was awarded a scholarship to university. He chose Trinity College Cambridge, and gained a Master of Arts degree before further study led to a Master of Philosophy in Criminology.

Having attained the rank of Superintendent in the police service, Wilf was forced to retire on medical grounds following injuries sustained when trying to help a colleague during the Miners’ Strike. An act typical of a man who always displayed commendable chivalry.

Wilf then formed consultancy Robert Gregory Associates, advising multinationals and banks on all aspects of security. In October last year the company merged with C2i International, and Wilf was able to take life a little easier.

Wilf is survived by his wife and sons Robert, Gregory and Alistair. We at Security Management Today and info4security send our deepest condolences and best wishes to the family.
